End-of-year balls are an important event in the lives of teenagers. They put a lot of money and time into their look. Girls try on multiple dresses for which they often saved for a very long time. They look at countless pictures to find the perfect inspiration. Boys trade their jeans for fancy suits and, if they are lucky, get to drive a fancy car. We can all remember feeling so special, spending hours to get ready for this special day, going to the hair salon, getting our makeup done and taking pictures in the yard. Before winning American Idol and becoming a famous country singer, she was just an ordinary girl from Checotah, Oklahoma. However, it is clear that the people who were in charge of her year-end album knew she would be a star!

If this girl didn’t know how lucky she was that night, we bet she found out later! Our beloved Harry Styles looks very young on this picture, but if anyone remembers his The X Factor years, then they won’t be surprised at this baby face and lovely hair as he auditioned when he was only 16 years old.

It seems that Will Ferrell did not change much since high school. Except for his shorter hair, the actor looks almost the same as he does today… One thing is for sure, his sense of humour certainly did not change.

We love to see Jaden Smith break these gender norms! He wears the skirt with a lot of styles and his date also has a whole lot of style! Although Will Smith’s son is still very young and his prom wasn’t too long ago, we had to include it on our list.

The thing is, Lady Gaga’s prom is one of the most “normal” looks we’ve ever seen from her. It’s weird, though, not to see her as a platinum blonde! Who knew she would become the queen of extravagant outfits back then as well as an extraordinary artist!

The former First Lady was just as royal and elegant then as she is now! But we can’t help but think this was quite a sexy dress and a look we are not used to see now. It is well balanced with the jacket though and she had every right to show some skin in an elegant way as a young graduate.

Demi was actually dating Nick Jonas at the time, but at the prom, she decided to keep the promise she had made to her old boyfriend, Nolan, at kindergarten. The Disney star escorted her date to her hometown of Dallas, Texas.

Bet Brad Pitt was a wonderful date when he attended the prom in 1982. He apparently taught his date to dance to Michael Jackson’s “Rock With You”. We must admit that this hair cut wasn’t his best…

Surprise! Reese Witherspoon wasn’t always “legally blonde”! It was originally brown, as you can see in this picture from the prom. SHe was just as beautiful back then as she is now, and her daughter is her exact copy.
