You may have an old bottle left over in your fridge or you may have bought a wine box to drink with friends, but you don’t like the taste anymore. If this is the case, do not throw it all away. Know that you can transform this alcoholic beverage into a fabulous cocktail! Here are 10 refreshing and delicious ways to drink this beverage.

1. Coca-cola

Red wine and coca-cola cocktails can seem strange but they are strangely very delicious. This drink is called a kalimotxo, it is a mix (equal parts) of coca-cola and red wine, with a little bit of ice and a hint of lemon juice. It is also a good alternative to sangria.

2. Fizzy water

Yes. This is fizzy water: light, refreshing and totally perfect for a day around the pool or the lake. To make this drink, mix two part of very cold wine with one part fizzy water (or flavoured soda), add some ice, add a slice of lime and then serve it to your family and friends.

3. Fruits and brandy

If you love sangria then you will love this recipe. Add to a pitcher four cups of wine, mix in two cups of chopped fruit, two tablespoons of brandy, two tablespoons simple syrup, and add some fizzy water.

4. Refreshing melon

Add a few handfuls of chopped melon with some slices of lime in a rosé or white wine glass, and then garnish it with some fresh mint.

5. Lemonade

Lemonade with white wine is a winning combination. Add equal parts of the two, then add a little bit of ice and a little bit of fizzy water. You can also use some fizzy lemonade if you want your drink to be stronger.

6. Fruit nectar

Do you feel like a refreshing and fruity drink? Add equal parts of the grape alcohol and fizzy water and add some fruit nectar.

7. Pomegranate

To add a little romantic touch to your wine glass, simply add some pomegranate seeds in it!

8. Dessert wine

Mix one cup of wine with two tablespoons of simple syrup, freeze it and then pour it into a refreshing dessert like ice cream!

9. Wine smoothie

Add your alcoholic drink into a food processor so you’ll get an alcoholic smoothie. To do this, freeze your grape alcohol into ice cube moulds. Then, put the alcohol ice cubes in a food processor and turn it on to blend the ice. Then, enjoy your frozen alcohol smoothie!

10. Pineapple slices

Add some pineapple slices to your favourite (but cheap) Chardonnay, Sancerre, rosé or champagne. This will add some style to your new favourite summer drink.
